It was combined with Dream of Me, its predecessor. What this story does is bring up all the shapeshifting, trolls and non-human stuff and then just sort of forgets about them as the book progresses.
I give this a 4-star rating because of that really ridiculous climax. When Hawk’s sinister half-sister collaborates with a bevy of other schemers to try to drive a wedge between the couple, only Krysta can sense the looming danger that threatens both Hawk and the peace affected by their union.
That she could touch and be touched by him as though that were the most ordinary part of life was astounding. Rorik does things in her book that upset you, I won’t get into it in case you read it, but they WERE a brutal people and at the onset he acted like a brutal man. I loved the food fight, even though in that time its a little unbelievable they would waste so much food, but its a book and i enjoyed reading about food flying! I guess i’m just a Viking girl!
Still love this series all these years later! Hawk is a very capable leader but without the stormy side that Wolf had which made him such a compelling Norseman.
His offer is rudely rebuffed and so in anger he decides to steal Cymbra away from her Saxon fortress, Holyhood.
There’s no doubt about that. And what was Lady Krysta??
Will try to read this one soon! Now for book two—Believe In Me.
Dream of Me/Believe in Me by Josie Litton
What really balanced the story for me was that Cymbra was a strong and wise woman. The action and the tension between the two slows quite a bit in places but still the story is charming and I can recommend it. After living eblieve for so many years, the sudden intimacy left her feeling as though she had walked from a dark room into josir sunshine – bright, glorious, seductively warm, and yet a bit painful, leaving her as yet unsure of how she truly felt about it.
Voyager 25th Anniversary Edition. This latter aspect, to me, made the stories seem less serious, giving them a whimsical feel that is not your classic Viking romance. He is always ready for battle and war, but he also knows how appealing peace would be not only for himself but his people that deserve it.
KateC rated it really liked it Mar 30, Once at Wolf’s ring fort, he issues the ultimatum: If you’re looking for a Viking Romance, then this is a must read.
I just loved everything about this one. Almost as good as Diana Gabaldon I would say.
And as an unexpected love ignites, only Krysta can sense the looming danger that threatens the peace — and Hawk as well.
I loved that she owns up to her mistakes, and admits when she is wrong.
Book Review-Dream of Me/Believe In Me by Josie Litton
It’s a lovely product ib apart from being well written and as historically accurate as far as a layman can tell there wasn’t much that set it above the rest. This was truly a heartwarming read that I just adored and quite a wonderful installment ltiton kept me up all night reading and so worth the loss of sleep.
Believe in Me – Cymbra’s brother has been ordered by the King to marry a Norse noblewoman to insure peace. To ask other readers questions about Believe in Meplease sign up.

A book has to “hit” me just right or be absolutely amazing. The characters, the settings, puts a tiny piece of magic back into romance. She loved him with all her heart and soul. To download from the iTunes Store, get iTunes now.

There has been an arranged marriage between Wolf and Cymbra but when a miscommunication occurs, and Wolf thinks that Cymbra has cried off, he decides to go after her and kidnaps her and takes her back to his home. Her beauty was the hook, but her resolve was the thing which josiee her a good choice of mate for Wolf.
It is pure fantasy. A trope that I very much enjoyed! She truly makes the best belivee, because when work needs to be done she gets in there with all the other servants and treats them as equals.
Also by Josie Litton. In this sequel to Dream of MeJosie Litton pursues the romantic and political affiliations between the Saxons and the Norse at the end of the ninth century.
Instead he discovers that she is a gifted un who will challenge him to confront his deepest yearnings — and together they will become soul mates who forge a future blessed by peace.
